Coupon is one of the most effective methods which can be used to keep the sales alive and customers interested. With the correct usage of coupons in a business can increase the sales. Every online customer likes to feel special on every purchase with discounts and coupons.
In Odoo, a company can empower their website sales strategies, and excite their customers by offering coupons and promotional offers. Here is the step by step guide to how to apply promo code in odoo.
To start with the promo code feature, Go to website application and select price lists under the catalogue menu.
Then create a new price list which includes the discount details by clicking the Create
button.
Then enter name of the price list and E-commerce promotional code. In this case name of the price list ‘30% Offer on Bose Mini Bluetooth speaker’ and the E-commerce promotional code is ‘30% OFF’. Under the Price list Items Add an item button helps you to add the items for which you want to apply discounts.
From this screen you can add products and minimum quantity of products which you want to apply discounts. And also add the discount price and duration of the discount.
In the ‘Apply on’ field have four options to apply discount.
Click the Save button to save the price list.
Then go to the shopping site and add an item to the cart.
From the my cart page,enable ‘Promo Code’ under Customise menu.
Then you can apply the promo code and Click Apply button.
When you clicks the apply button,the price of the product will reduce 30% of the original price of product.
Then click on Process Checkout and enter your address to order the product.
Then click Confirm button. Now you will get a payment page.
Make payment by clicking Pay Now.
After making the payment you will get an order details like in the following screen.
