Lots and serial numbers on invoices

 

In Odoo, each product can be identified and tracked using either a serial number, which uniquely identifies a single item, or a lot number, which identifies a group of items that were produced or processed together. 

To enable this feature, go to the Inventory module, then click on Settings, and choose the lots & serial numbers option in the traceability menu.

Product traceability

 

Once the Lots & Serial Numbers feature is activated, you can set up specific products to be tracked by either lot numbers or serial numbers. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Inventory app and navigate to Products -> Products.
2. Select the product you want to configure.
3. On the product page, go to the Inventory tab.
4. In the Traceability section, choose either the By Lots or By Unique Serial Number option from the Tracking field.

Create a new quotation  by going 

Sales →orders →quotations →new

Inside the configuration page provide all the essential information and within the product tab select the product and confirm the quotation.

 

Go to the delivery smart button and select or create a serial number from there. Save the changes and validate the delivery.

Go to the sale order and click the Create Invoice button to create an invoice and register payment. Select the Print button to generate a printed copy of the invoice. . On the invoice, we can see the serial number.
