Project Management in Odoo 11 Dashboard has the following menu - Tasks, Next Activities, Reporting, and Configuration.
Where as Odoo 12 consists of projects, All tasks, Reporting and Configuration menus.

Next Activity menu is remove from Odoo11.
In Odoo 12, Activities can be schedule from Tasks directly.
⇒ Task Menu
Tasks in odoo 11 renamed as All Tasks in Odoo 12.
⇒New Tags Sub-Menu
Besides in Odoo 11 Configuration :
Odoo 12 consists of extra sub menu called tags, which is for creating tags.
⇒Ratings
In Odoo 12 Settings, Ratings of projects is handle by enabling Use Rating on project.
In Odoo11, it was named as Rating On Tasks. Both Allows to track Customer satisfaction on tasks.
⇒Time Management
In Odoo 11, there was an option to allow time spent on projects and also tasks.
It can be done by enabling Timesheets under Time Management.
In Odoo 12 it was renamed to Task Logs, to log time on tasks.
⇒Reporting
In Odoo11, there was only task analysis and customer ratings.
In Odoo 12 Reporting menu has an added functionality to analyze project cost and Revenues rather in Odoo 11.
⇒Analytic Account
In Odoo 11 there was no menu to add Analytic Account in Projects
In Configuration->Projects, under each project there is an option to add Analytic Account in Odoo12.
⇒Emails in project
Odoo 11 had email tab to handle the project.
Also email tab in Odoo11 project is move on in Odoo 12.
Extra tab for invoicing has been add on for the sales order that is form for the corresponding project.
⇒Menu icon Contents has changed
Options to choose directly between Settings, Tasks, Timesheets and adding colors to distinguish specific projects in Odoo11 is remove in Odoo12, except adding colors.
Those options will be replace by edit and share.
