Routing and Work Order Generation in Odoo 11 Manufacturing

There are two ways we can produce a product with Manufacturing module. We can create a manufacturing order with simple default stages and complete the production. Or we can customize our work order by setting up work center and routing mechanisms. To use this advanced manufacturing procedure you have to enable the routing and planning in the manufacturing settings. In this blog we discuss in detail on Routing and Work Order Generation in Odoo 11 Manufacturing.

Manufacturing->Settings->Operations->

Activate the Work Orders&Quality then go to,
Work Centers->

Click to Create-> create new Work center

After filling the form click Save->

 

Then to Create-> create another work center.

 

Save-> the form and go to Dashboard->

 

We can see the created work centers.
Select Master Data->Routing->

 

Create-> to create a new routing.

 

Enter a routing name and click Add an item->

 

Enter the details. We can add Description and upload any document using Work Sheet option.
Save & New->

 

 

Fill the form and click
Save & Close->

 

Save-> the routing and go to Bills of Materials->

 

Select the BOM to open it.

Bill Of Materials

Click Edit-> to add routing.

Select the created routing Table and Save->
Select Manufacturing Orders->

 

Click Create-> to create a new order.

Enter the details and save the form.
Save->

Then click
Check availability->
Create Workorders->

Then we can see a new button on the right side of the form Work Orders
Select Work Orders->

Select the order, status is ready.

Click the button Start Working->

If the work is finished, Done->
And go to the Dashboard.

We can see the work center is ready to launch.
Select To Launch->

Click the order.

Then click Start Working->

Click Done->

Then Save->

Then go to Dashboard, we can see two work centers are completed the work.
Select Manufacturing Orders->

The order’s state is In Progress.
Open the order to finish.

 

Select Mark as Done->

Then the state changes to Done.
