Clients no longer need to wait for appointments, as it provides a one-touch solution for booking. The process is convenient and time-saving, allowing clients to schedule appointments online anytime, from anywhere. Additionally, it prevents double booking for the same slot, ensuring a smooth and organized scheduling experience.
Let’s now explore how appointment management is handled in Odoo.The Odoo Appointment module can be easily accessed and utilized to take full advantage of its features with simple and straightforward steps.
First we need to install the Appointment module.
Go to the Apps menu and ensure the Appointments module is installed.
The installed module seamlessly integrates with your Calendar module. To schedule a new appointment, navigate to the configuration menu of the Website application. Click the ‘New’ button to access a form where you can enter the details for the new appointment.
By clicking new we can add Appointment Title,Duration,Pre-Booking Time,Scheduling Window,Allow Cancelling,Availability on,Users,Assignment Method.
We can schedule appointments by adding details under the “Schedule” tab, where you can set the days and specify the start and end times.
Under the "Options" tab, you can add details such as Front-End Display, Website, Timezone, Location, Video Conference Link, Manual Confirmation, Up-front Payment, Create Opportunities, Limit to Work Hours, Reminders, Confirmation Email, Cancellation Email, CC recipients, Allowed Countries, and Allow Guests.
Under the “Questions” tab, you can include fields to ask your clients for information such as their name, email address, contact details, and work-related information when creating an appointment.
Under the “Message” tab, you can add any message that you wish to send to your client.
After adding all the basic information to your appointment, remember to publish it on your website so that customers can access the appointment details.
To do this, click on the “go-to website” button, and you will be directed to a calendar view.
On the right side of the calendar, you’ll notice the status of your appointment marked as ‘unpublished’. To publish it, simply click on the appointment, and its status will change to published.
The appointment is now published on the website, allowing customers to easily select it at their convenience.
To book an appointment, clients can simply select it from the website.
Select the time.
Fill out the additional details about yourself and confirm the appointment.
After adding personal details in the required field you can click the confirmation button to confirm your appointment.
