Odoo 18 Cloud Storage Integration
In Odoo, we need to store a large amount of data in the database. Starting from this version, there's no need to store the data on any other device. Instead, we can install a cloud storage solution directly from the Odoo App Store. Odoo provides two options for cloud storage:
1. Azure Cloud Storage
2. Google Cloud Storage
Additionally, we have the flexibility to set the size of the data that we want to store.
Passkey
One of the new additions to Odoo is the feature that allows users to access another user's database using a passkey. It's important to emphasize that this feature is not intended to replace any existing functionality but serves as an additional option. With this feature, an administrator can log into the system using any user's login credentials and a separate passkey. Revamp in Product View
In Odoo 18, several checkboxes are available to control product availability in POS, sales, and purchases. The "Recurring" checkbox has also been renamed to "Subscription." Also, we got the Point of Sale page separately. You can also see these changes in the provided screenshot.
On the General Information page, the product types have been condensed into three categories: Goods, Service, and Combo. Goods represent storable products, and inventory tracking has become easier as a result. The tracking field has been relocated to the General Information page, allowing for inventory management based on Quantity, Lots, and Unique Serial Numbers.
The Customer Taxes has been renamed to Sales Tax, and Vendor Taxes has been renamed to Purchase Tax. The Purchase Taxes field has also been moved under the General Information Page.
When it comes to Unit of Measurement (UOM), we now have two UOMs: Sales UOM and Purchase UOM. The Purchase UOM has been renamed to Purchase Unit and has been relocated to the Purchase Page.
In Odoo 18, a new feature allows us to effectively plan services and choose projects for service planning when dealing with Service Products.
In Combo Products, we can select from a list of pre-configured combo choices. Additionally, on the Point of Sale page, we can choose the meal type, whether it's non-vegetarian, vegetarian, or eggetarian.

Revised UI of POS Session

Users can scan their CVs and have the data automatically populated into the appropriate fields in a form, including their skill sets. This simplifies the form-filling process by allowing users to upload their CVs and have the information transferred seamlessly.
Confirm & Reset Button for Selecting Multiple Companies
Users can select multiple companies simultaneously, confirm their selection, and also have the option to reset any changes made.
New Report Layout and Fonts
From Odoo 18, users will have access to a wide variety of layouts and fonts. They can set custom backgrounds for the report and choose the font style.
Signature Request
Users can electronically sign documents in Odoo 18. The Signature Request is a new feature available in Sales, Purchase, Project, and more. This feature helps to send the request via email.
Vendor Bill Matching
Once the purchase order is confirmed, users will be able to easily access the vendor bill history.
